Everton against Coventry catches my eye for a draw trade tonight — with a case for keeping something on the stalemate until the final whistle.
David Moyes’ side have drawn four of their opening nine Premier League matches. That is 44.4%, and seven of those nine games have finished under 2.5 goals. Both higher-scoring exceptions were 2–2 draws.
Coventry arrive with confidence after winning three of their last five, including a 3–1 victory over Sunderland. Frank Lampard’s side should provide more resistance than their difficult start suggested.
My preferred approach is to back the draw at a suitable pre-match price, then look to remove the original stake if the odds shorten sufficiently. From there, a further lay can spread the remaining profit across all three results.
The call: draw trade first; a smaller straight-draw position also appeals.
